Research and Website Officer
Patrícia has been helping researchers and NGOs to publish their reports for the last 20 years. She has been always passionate for editing, especially in the social and biomedical areas, and a fan of the EQUATOR Network, an international initiative that seeks to improve the reliability and value of published health research literature by promoting transparent and accurate reporting and wider use of robust reporting guidelines.
She joined the NDORMS team in August 2018, to help in the management and editing of the EQUATOR website contents, in order to make it more useful and easy to use by researchers/authors, librarians and methodologists. She believes that by improving the website usability, EQUATOR can better meet its mission to contribute with integrity in research reporting.
Her background is a graduation in Journalism, followed by a specialization in Scientific Journalism, a master’s degree in Health Sciences, with a study on vaccination, and a recently obtained doctorate, in Evidence-Based Medicine, with a study on health information for lay people. Patrícia is also joining research projects that involve the EQUATOR website as an educational tool.
