Ioana Marian

OCTRU Medical Statistician

I currently work on a number of clinical trials across various stages at the Centre for Statistics in Medicine (CSM) as a medical statistician.

I have contributed to the data management, analysis and reporting of PDSAFE, a multi-centre randomised control trial aiming to prevent falls among people with Parkinson's disease. This was based at the University of Southampton in collaboration with Oxford Clinical Trials Research Unit (OCTRU).

My MSc Statistics research project at the University of Kent focused on modelling the spread of infectious diseases and vaccination efficacy using stochastic epidemic modelling. I have experience in teaching statistics for business at higher education level and enjoy applying statistics to real life dilemmas.

I joined the CSM and OCTRU in December 2017.
