Alexander Ooms

Medical Statistician

I joined Oxford Clinical Trials Research Unit (OCTRU), part of Centre for Statistics in Medicine (CSM) within NDORMS in October 2018 as a medical statistician.

I completed my MSc in Statistics from The London School of Economics and Political Science in July 2018. A large part of my time spent there was used studying machine learning and data mining techniques as well as extensive work with adaptive models and Bayesian Statistics. I am especially interested in using both parametric and non-parametric techniques in exploratory analysis.

I also obtained a BSc in Mathematics from The University of York in July 2017, graduating with first-class honours.
