ACTION: AMILORIDE CLINICAL TRIAL IN OPTIC NEURITIS

Patients with multiple sclerosis often suffer optic neuritis, which causes a loss of nerve cells in the eye and damages vision. ACTION is a registered trial that will assess the efficacy of amiloride as a neuroprotective drug in optic neuritis. It is run by the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neuroscience.
