Seven NDORMS researchers, including two CSM researchers, were awarded new titles in the University's 2018 Recognition of Distinction exercise. This recognition demonstrates our staff's commitment to excellence in research and teaching and reflects the department's world-renowned multidisciplinary approach to medical research.
The CSM recipients are:
“Although rewarded at a personal level, an Oxford Professor title is in my experience the result of team work. The Pharmaco- and Device Epidemiology research group at CSM-NDORMS has worked hard to become an internationally recognised unit. I will proudly hold this new title as a badge that recognises our past, current, and future work in the field of drug and medical device observational research.”
Daniel Prieto-Alhambra, Professor of Pharmaco and Device Epidemiology
University Research Lecturer
"I am delighted with this recognition by the wider academic community of the value of my work and unconventional academic path! As an applied statistician working on clinical trials with multidisciplinary teams, my role is crucial to achieving successful grant applications and trial publications, but seldom translates to Chief Investigator. It is very encouraging to have my commitment, dedication, and key contributions to successful research recognised at this level."
Susan Dutton, OCTRU Lead Statistician
